Milton "Sonny" Lee Davis Sr. was born on March 17, 1946 in Kimbro, Texas to the union of John Henry Davis Sr. and Annie Mae Collins Davis. Sonny was baptized at an early age and attended public schools in Kimbro and Elgin, Texas. After completing school, he worked as a truck driver. Later, he was employed and retired from the City of Austin. After retirement, Sonny stayed busy and was known as "Mr. Fix It." He always had a project and was determined to fix it! In his free time, he enjoyed following high school sports and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Sonny departed this life on December 25, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Davis Sr. and Annie Mae Davis, maternal grandmother Ruby Lee Collins, two sons, Tondrict Givens & Milton Lee Davis, Jr., three brothers and three sisters. He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife of 32 years, Rachael Octavia A. Davis of Austin, TX; his five daughters, Erika Nicole Kinney (Roderick) of Sugar Land, TX, Mary Davis, Emma Davis, Carolyn Davis and Latasha Givens of Austin, TX and 17 grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters, Pauline Davis and Marilyn Davis of Manor, TX; Debrah Davis, Annie Davis, Osie Nash of Austin, TX; four brothers, James "Stone" Davis (Connie Mae) and Kenny Davis of Austin, TX; Melvin "Butch" Davis (Wanda) and Michael Davis (Connie) of Manor, TX; a special niece & nephew, Barbara and Jeff Nash of Manor, TX; one aunt, Chester Lee Coleman of San Antonio, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
