Mindy Sue Hudgins, 32, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Monday March 7, 2011 at La Porte Hospital. She was born April 16, 1978 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Bill E. Hudgins and Susan (Wakeman) Hudgins. She is survived by her mother - Susan Hudgins of LaPorte; two brothers - Bill (Amanda) Hudgins, Jr., Brad Hudgins, both of La Porte; one sister - Candace (Steve) Dobben of La Porte; her grandmother - Viola Wakeman of LaPorte; fiancé - Hugo Perez of La Porte; three nieces - Amanda, Abby and Allison Dubbs; and two nephews - Aaron Dobben, and Drew Hudgins; aunt and uncles, Marcia Wellinski of LaPorte, IN, Judy and Andy Bolakowski of Rolling Prairie, IN., Ken and Diane Hudgins of LaPorte, IN., Fred Hudgins of LaPorte, IN., Dale and Wanda Wakeman of Kingsbury, IN., Diane and Mike Dubbs of LaPorte, IN., Daniel Wakeman of Union Mills, IN., David Wakeman of NV.; several cousins and great cousins. Mindy was preceded in death by her father - Bill E. Hudgins. Mindy loved her entire family, especially her nieces, nephews and her dog Sam. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2011 and from 10:00 am Friday, March 11, 2011, until time of service. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 11, 2011at the funeral home with Pastor JoEllyn Chadwick officiating. Cremation will follow with burial of ashes at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family of Mindy Sue Hudgins.
