There will be a visitation for Mitchell Pederson of Morris on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements. Mitchell Harlan Pederson, son of Albie and Beulah Pederson, was born November 5, 1955 in Montevideo, Minnesota, where he was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Mitchell attended and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1974. For the past 15 years he has loved owning and operating his company of building grain bins in Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota. Mitchell enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, riding his Harley Davidson whenever he could, playing black jack, watching the Minnesota Vikings and his favorite television shows. While working, he loved serenading to Amber," You are my Sunshine" and making his grandchildren laugh. Mitchell's favorite quote on the job was "There is only room for one "Top Dog" and it's me". Mitchell died on Sunday, February 10, 2013. He lived to reach the age of 57 years old. He is survived by his fiancé, Amber Sharp of Morris; step-daughter, Crysta Forgy of Morris; three children, Misty (Chris) Hansen of Madison, Amber (Nate) Samuelson of Odonville, AL and Ryan Pederson of Aberdeen, SD; five grandchildren: Colten and Savannah Forgy, Carter and Kennadi Samuelson and Zacharee Hansen and two sisters, Pat (Ardy) Prekker of Princeton and Cindy (John) Stranlund of Savage. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo, ND.
