Moises Macias Corona was born on April 23rd 1939 in Jalisco Mexico, to Andres Macias and Maria Corona. He passed away October 31, 2009 in his home in Los Angeles California after his battle with a prolonged illness. He is preceded in death by his parents Andres, Maria, his sister Esperanza Macias. He is survived by his wife Margarita , daughters Rosa, Silvia, and Sandra, sons Gilberto, Andres, and Moises.
He held various industrial jobs both in Mexico and the United States. It was during his employment in Mexico City where he met his surviving wife Margarita. He later immigrated to the United States where he was employed as a painter and welder (he passed the welding trade to his sons Andres and Moises). He retired in 1999 and enjoyed life at home in Los Angeles California and Baja California where he vacationed. He received the final Sacraments under his Catholic faith weeks leading to his death. Moises was a generous man as contributed to Catholic charities for religious orders, to fight poverty, and missionary work.
Services will be held at the Holy Cross Mortuary at 5835 West Slauson Avenue in the city of Culver City. The viewing will be Friday November 6th and the funeral will take place Saturday November 7th.
