Monica Plata Villalobos, 86, died Friday, March 16, 2012 in Richmond, Texas. She was born July 7, 1925 in Yoakum to Carlisto and Manuela Plata. Monica was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include her 9 children, Mary Garza and husband Ralph, Rosie Hernandez and husband Art, Delia Villarreal, Gloria Rosas and husband Albert, Lawrence Villalobos Jr. and wife Alice, David Villalobos, Janie Hernandez, Jeanie Powers and husband Robert and Violanda Mata and husband Angel, 1 sister Emilia Rodriguez, one brother, Charlie Plata, 22 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Yndalecio " Lencho" Villalobos. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, March 20, 2012, from 5-9 P.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7 P.M.
