Murrell Whitehurst Grimsley, 83, of the 400 block of Fall Ridge Lane, Chesapeake, VA, passed away May 1, 2011, in Norfolk, VA. She was the widow of Roy G. Grimsley. Mrs. Grimsley is survived by her two daughters, Dana E. Cassidy of Norfolk, VA and Rebecca K. Halstead and her husband Lawson of Chesapeake, VA; her son, Thomas P. Grimsley and his wife Virginia Voltz of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren, Leeann Spencer and husband Christian of Hendersonville, NC, Michael and Brandon Halstead of Chesapeake, VA and Kyle Grimsley of Virginia Beach, VA; and one great grandson, Lucas Spencer of Hendersonville, NC. A memorial service will be held Friday at 6 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to your local SPCA.
