Nancy A. Campau, 81, of St. Joseph, passed away, Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 A.M. Saturday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 555 E. Delaware, Benton Harbor, with Fr. William J. Jacobs, Jr. officiating. Cremation will follow the service with burial at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday, with the Rosary recited at 8:00 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to St. John-St. Bernard Parish. Nancy was born January 5, 1931, in Flint, Michigan. She graduated in 1949 from Sacred Heart Academy in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and studied music at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Michigan, and Juilliard Performing Arts Conservatory in New York City. Nancy was employed at Clark Equipment from 1972 until 1981, and after returning from North Carolina in 1984, she gained employment at Gast Manufacturing, retiring in 1991. On June 14, 1979, she married Phillip E. Campau in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Nancy was a member of St. John-St. Bernard Parish and a former member of The Misfits. She enjoyed playing bridge at the St. Joseph-Lincoln Sr. Center and bingo at Lake Pines Apartments. Nancy enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She was a member of the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra Choir.

Nancy is survived by her son Michael Adams and his wife Shelly Reynolds of St. Joseph; her daughter Melissa (Neil) Iwan of St. Joseph; two granddaughters, Aubrey E. Iwan and Alycia M. Ehlert, EdD; her great-grandson Michael Iwan; her brother Albert "Bud" Teetzel of Gainesville, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Clara Bell (Wygent) Teetzel, her husband Phillip on April 7, 1988, her brother Bill Teetzel, and her grandson-in-law Bill Ehlert.
