West Chesterfield, NH - Nancy Susan Cutting Bevis of West Chesterfield, NH died at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 with her husband by her side. She was born in Brattleboro, VT on July 26, 1950 to Clayton L. and Doris (Phelps) Cutting. She was the wife of Stephen D. "Bart" Bevis of West Chesterfield, whom she married on September 12, 1998. Nancy was funny, lively and had a wicked sense of humor right up to her last days. She loved her family, the sun, the beach, her vehicles, her flower gardens and plants. Music brought her great joy. She especially loved Cher and Reba McEntire. She was raised on a farm and loved riding horses in her younger years. She was a hard worker and had many jobs throughout the years but she was most proud of and remembered for all the children she took care of in her at-home daycare. She and Bart purchased the former Winky and Phyl's giftshop in Chesterfield renaming it Route 9 Crafts and Collectibles. During that time she also started selling on Ebay; she and Bart would go to tag sales, auctions and flea markets to look for treasures. She leaves three children: Melissa Snow and her husband Jim Charuhas, and their four kids, Briana, Emily, Tyler and Alex, all of Charlestown; Edward "PJ" Snow, IV and his wife Cheryl of Colorado Springs, CO; and Amy Beth Wood and her partner Daemon Petty of Guilford, Vt. She is further survived by: her mother; her sister Diane LaClair and husband Louie; two brothers, Reed Cutting and wife Sandy and Ronald Cutting and wife Joan; and an aunt Madolyn Meyer and husband Herb, all of Guilford, Vt. She leaves several other aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins all of whom she adored. She also leaves her beloved and faithful companion, Nash the Dog. Graveside services will be conducted at Chesterfield West Cemetery on Poor Road in Chesterfield, NH on Tuesday, August 30 at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow at the VFW in Brattleboro. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 29 from 7 to 9 PM at Atamaniuk Funeral Home, Terrace Street, Brattleboro. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's memory can be made to Chesterfield Fire and Rescue Association, P. O. Box 95, Chesterfield, NH 03443 or the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Oncology Department, 17 Belmont Avenue, Brattleboro, VT 05301.
