Nancy Ellen Lambert, 70, of Dillsburg PA, passed away peacefully at the Hershey Medical Center on January 8th, 2011, finally succumbing to Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia Cancer (WM). Nancy was born and raised in Fond du Lac, WI to the late Dr. Gustus S Bradley and late Lorraine M Bradley. She graduated from High School in Fond du Lac and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin in Madison. There she met Larry L Lambert whom she married in 1961. Nancy and Larry had three sons; Eric, Bradley and Gregory who they raised as they moved to several locations in the mid-west in support of Larry's career. In 1976, while living in Bloomington MN, Nancy completed her Bachelor's Degree, cum laude, in Education from the University of Minnesota and began to substitute teach in the local school districts. Nancy later went on to complete her Master's Degree in Education. In 1986, the Lamberts moved to Dillsburg PA and Nancy began teaching Art in the Conowago Valley School District until her retirement in 2002. Nancy fought her disease with determined tenacity, founding a support group for WM in the Harrisburg area. She loved to read, travel, and spend time with her family, especially on the beach, near their retirement home in Florida. Nancy will be terribly missed by her family and the many friends she made throughout her loving, generous life. Nancy is survived by her husband Larry L Lambert, of Dillsburg, PA and her three sons, Eric, Brad and Greg and their 8 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Gagnon of Memphis TN and step brothers James Bradley of Arlington TX and Robert Bradley of Corpus Christy TX. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Jan 14, 2011 from 3:00 - 4:30 pm at Cocklin Funeral Home, 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. 17019. A reception will be held from 5-7 pm at the Gettysburg Hotel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia Research Foundation, or to the charity of your choice.
