Nancy Eanes Mears, 71, of the 4900 block of Cypress Point Circle, Virginia Beach, VA, passed away July 20, 2012. A native of Norfolk, VA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Nevada Eanes. She retired from International Paper Company as a Receptionist. She was a member of Bayside Baptist Church. Some of Nancy's most beloved passions that bestowed the grandest of smiles for the rest of us were her granddaughter, her dog, shopping, the ocean, eating seafood, dancing and spending time with her two lifelong best friends, Sandra Hodges and Diana McLeod. Nancy will be remembered for her kind heart, her gentle laugh and her love for her family. Nancy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Miller B. Mears, Sr.; her son, Miller B. Mears, Jr. and wife Tamara, and her granddaughter, Mackenzie Veirs, all of Virginia Beach, VA. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel in Virginia Beach with Rev. Jeff Bell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VBSPCA. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
