Mrs. Nancy Josephine Yarbrough

Nancy Josephine Brown Yarbrough Gray Yarbrough, age 91, of Hot Springs, passed away January 4, 2012, at Lakewood Convalescent Home in Hot Springs. She was born October 2, 1920, in Sparkman, Arkansas, the daughter of Lynch T. and Nancy Adeline (Selph) Brown. She was a long-term member of Second Baptist Church in Malvern and, later of First Baptist Church in Hot Springs. Nancy graduated from Arkadelphia High School in 1941 and then attended business school in Little Rock. She was a homemaker and was an excellent seamstress and cook.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her first and third husband, James L. Yarbrough; second husband, Thelton H. Gray; sisters Cathryn Melton and Mary Elizabeth Gates and brothers Henry and J. L. Brown. Nancy is survived by her sister, Betty Tidwell of Lake Charles, LA; her sons, Dr. Gary R. Gray and wife Natalie of Windsor, CO, Kenneth Gray and wife Patti of Plano, TX and Herbert Gray and wife Mary of Hot Springs, AR; grandchildren Dawn Gray Attebery and husband Paul of Richardson, TX, Tara Fleig Gray of Bonney Lake, WA, Scott Gray and wife Angela of Alexander, AR, Kathi Gray Castricone of Fort Myers, FL, Lauren Gray of Woodbury, MN and Kevin Gray of Austin, TX; great-grandchildren Shane and Samuel Attebery of Richardson, TX, Alison Gray of Alexander, AR, Joshua, Noah and Tanner Fleig of Bonney Lake, WA, and Lake and Lily Langford of Bonney Lake, WA, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2012 at the Gross Funeral Home Chapel, 120 Wrights Street, Hot Springs. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Michael Pounders officiating. Interment will be at the Crestview Cemetery in Hot Springs. Pallbearers will be her sons Gary, Kenneth, and Herbert Gray, nephew Dickey Brown, Doug Davey and Michael Magby.
