Racine – Nancy Lee Peterson, 75, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 25, 2013.

Nancy was born in Exeland, WI to the late Harry and Virginia (nee: Crye) Kyle on October 8, 1937. She was united in marriage to Robert C. Peterson on June 5, 1956 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. She lived in Huntsville Alabama for nine years and the rest of her life in Racine Wis.

Nancy has been a member of Racine Bible Church for 6 years. She spent most of her working career as a church secretary in the Mount Pleasant church and the First Church of God. In this church she served in many serving positions. Nancy was a gifted person in making people happy and was quick to bring laughter in a conversation. She had great friends in Razor Sharp Fitness and enjoyed exercise three times a week. She was a loving and supportive mother and grandmother. Flowers were always in her life and she had a talent for making them thrive. A friend recently called her a grand lady, which describes her well.

Nancy will be dearly missed by her husband of 57 years, Robert; her children, Daniel (Linda) Peterson, Karen (Rick) Means and Susan Mutchler; his grandchildren, Karolyn (Matt) Schumaker, James (Megan) Peterson, Michael (Sydnee) Peterson, Megan Peterson, Richard (Sara) Means, Benjamin (Jessica) Means, Anthony (Monica) Means, Jeremy Means, Travis Mutchler, Connor Mutchler, Lindsay Woelbing and Lauren Woelbing; eight great grandchildren; brothers and sister, Thomas (Heather) Kyle, Kathy (Steve) Atherton and John Kyle; her little loyal dog, Cocoa; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean (Bob) Noe and Sally (Louie) Miller.

A memorial service in honor of Nancy will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Darien Bowers officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 5:00 P.M. until the 6:00 P.M. service. Memorials received will be given to Youth for Christ.
