Nancy S. Lewis
Greenville, SC

Nancy Southerlin Lewis, 59, of 220 Forrester Creek Way, Mauldin, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2011.

Born July 22, 1952 in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of Charles and Betty Childers Southerlin of Greer, SC

A graduate of Blue Ridge High School and Furman University, she received a Masters Degree from Clemson University. She was a retired Special Education teacher for Greenville County Schools, having taught at Bryson Middle School and also Carolina High School.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mauldin and was very active in the ladies ministries. She was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, John C. Lewis; her daughter, Erin Lewis of Greenville, SC; a sister, Kim Miller of Landrum, SC and three brothers: Sonny Southerlin of Orlando, FL, Jim Southerlin of Chesnee, SC and Michael Southerlin of Simpsonville, SC.

Services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Mauldin First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, 1:30 until 2:45 PM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Mauldin, 140 S. Main St., Mauldin, SC 29662.
