Nellie E. Banks, 94, Bloomington, passed from this life to be with her Lord on May 5th, 2012 at 5:30 am at the home of her daughter in Bloomington.

She was born in McMinn County, Tennessee on March 4, 1918 to the late Floyd and Lily May (Jones) Anderson.

She was a dedicated homemaker most of her life and a member of the New Life Trinity Holiness Tabernacle in Bedford, Indiana. She enjoyed attending church, cooking, sewing and gardening.

She married Maynard Banks on August 29th, 1937; he preceded her in death on September 15, 1982.

She is survived by a host of loving family including her oldest son, Bobby Gene Banks (wife, Sue)of Hayden, Idaho; daughter, Eileen Banks of Bloomington; son, Ronald Lee Banks (wife, Connie) of Indianapolis; daughters, Linda Morgan (husband, Thadeus), Betty Parsons (husband, Jack) and Kathleen Axsom (husband, Bill) all of Bloomington; three brothers, Clyde Anderson of Corbin, KY, Larry Anderson (wife, Mabel) of Burlington, KY and Doug Anderson (wife, Aileen) of Stockbridge, GA; three sisters, Betty Sue Anderson (husband, Ernest) of Whitesburg, KY, Larue Wright (husband, Rollie) of Jenkins, KY and Faith Ratliff of Bloomfield, IN; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Bobby Earl and Lloyd Anderson and two sisters, Florence Kinser and Connie Janice Anderson.

Friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, May 8th from 4-8 pm and Wednesday, May 9th from 9-10 am at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center of Martinsville. A celebration of life service to be officiated by Brothers Mark Brock and Wayne Grace and Sister Cheryl Crum, will begin at 10am on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in New South Park Cemetery, Martinsville.
