Nellie Marie Craven age 87 of Dallas, Texas passed away November 7, 2011. She was born to the parentage of Mr. and Mrs. Wreny Miller in Dallas, Texas on November 11, 1923. She attended and graduated from the Dallas Independent School District. She joined Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church at a young age, under the pastorage of Rev. Harrison Clark. Later in life she united with Greater Harvest Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Frank W. Smith. She became a missionary and worked in the missionary department. She visited the sick and prayed for them. She also visited the nursing homes and had church with the sick, which she enjoyed very much. Helping the elderly was her life, Black & White Sister Craven worked as a nurse's aide for many years. She also worked for senior citizens of Greater Dallas visiting nurse's and children medical center and for TBN prayer line.

Nellie once was married to Floyd craven, who preceded her in death. To this union, six children were born. She leaves to cherish her memories four sons, Clifton Craven, Charles Craven, Elder L.C. Craven (Carolyn) and David Craven; two daughters, Vivian Wade and Alice Craven; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Jean Craven and Carol Craven; one brother, Herbert Millen; one sister-in-law, Vilona Millen; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
