Nelrose was born May 6, 1922 in Helena, Missouri to Oliver Wesley Boggess and Bettie Florence White. She peacefully passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in hospice care.
Named from a popular face powder of the day, Nelrose with her family moved from Helena Missouri to Stanberry, Missouri in 1934 where she graduated from High School in 1940. She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and was a member of the Baptist Church. She attended Northwest Missouri Teacher's College in Maryville, MO and taught grades one through twelve in a rural one room school house as well as various elementary grades in the NKC School district, retiring in 1972. She married Paul Eugene Trump April 5, 1944 in Stanberry, Missouri; they lived in Gladstone, Missouri for 60 years together raising 3 children. Devoted to her family, she was an excellent mother, seamstress, cook, and homemaker.
In retirement she and Gene traveled extensively researching family history. The genealogy studies lead to her membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial Dames XVII as well as publishing several family histories. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, O.W. Boggess, Jr. and Robert Varner Boggess; infant daughter; infant great granddaughter Jessie L. Post and her husband, the love of her life for over 60 years, Paul E. "Gene" Trump. She is missed by her surviving family; Paul V. (Bonnie) and Phillip C. (Debbie) of Kearney, MO and Paula R.
