CAMPO – Nicholas, on Saturday, June 26th, of Clifton peacefully entered eternal rest at the age of 97. He is survived by five children, Patricia residing in Pennsylvania, Joan of Texas, Nicholas Jr. in California, Angelo of Maine and Jerome at home in Clifton. Those who have predeceased Nick are his wife Angela Hozempa (1994), a daughter Rosemarie Alessandrini (2006) and two brothers, Salvatore and Tony. Another brother, John and his wife, Laura, of Whitestone, NY also survive his passing. Other survivors include both grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nicholas had several years of Military service to his country during both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He loved the outdoors! His vegetable garden was a labor of love each year, and whatever he reaped he always shared with family, friends and neighbors. In 2006, pictures of Nick and son Jerome along with samples of vegetables harvested from their garden were the subject of a feature story in the Record newspaper. Arrangements are being administered by the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home at 1313 Van Houten Avenue in Clifton (973)546-2000 with family and friends invited to a viewing on Wednesday, June 30 between the hours of 2:00pm to 4:00pm and again at 7:00pm to 9:00pm. On Thursday, July 1st, prayers at the funeral home at 9:15am followed by the funeral mass at St. Philips RC Church, 797 Valley Road in Clifton scheduled for 10:00am. His final resting place will be with his late wife at the Cemetery of the Immaculate Conception in Upper Montclair.
