Nina LaVerne "Dude" Duncan

Nina LaVerne "Dude" Duncan, 83, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2011 in her home in Lisle, IL. Formerly a long time resident of Gladstone, MO, Dude moved to Lisle in August 2011 to be closer to family during her final days. She was born July 26, 1928 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of LaVerne D. and Nina A. Cole. She married her loving husband; William "Bill" Duncan on June 17, 1950 in St. Joseph, MO. Dude was the consummate mother, grandmother, wife and friend to all that knew her. She was an active member of Liberty Hills Country Club where her passion for golf was only succeeded by her passion to be with her friends. She is survived by her two sons, J.B Duncan and his wife Carolyn, Omaha, NE, Kent Duncan and his wife Kathy, Aurora, IL, two grand children, Kim Duncan, Chicago, IL and Courtney Macchiarella (Duncan) and her husband Francesco of Lombard, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Bill. A celebration of life will take place at D.W. Newcomer's and Sons White Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, November 19 at 1:00 PM. A private family internment ceremony will follow the celebration. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Memory of LaVerne (Dude) to Adventist St. Thomas Hospice, 119 E.
