Noel Adams, 77, of Perryville, went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2012. He was born December 29, 1934 to the late Leo and Cora Adams. Noel was a retired school teacher of Perryville High School, member and former deacon of First Baptist Church of Perryville, former member of the Lions Club and a Hunter Education Instructor. Noel loved the outdoor life with his family and friends. Pop will always be remembered for the many life skills he taught which could not be obtained in the classroom. He was loved by many and was a good friend to all.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Yvonne Adams; three children, Bruce Adams and his wife Sandra of Perryville; Teri Adams of Perryville; and Becci Martin and her husband Eddy of Atkins; brother, Duel "Bud" Adams and his wife Pam of Scott; sisters, Doris Cook of Oppelo; Eva Coffman of Perry; Dacie Rau and her husband Stan of Ft. Smith; seven grandchildren, Todd Lovell and his wife Emily, Trey Lovell, Kylee Williams and her husband Paul, Hunter Hickey, Kathern Adams, Katie Adams and Berry Blair; four great-grandchildren, Nora Rose Lovell, Mary Claire, Joel and Eliza Blair.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 28, at Perryville First Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Stanley, Jimmy Dale Jones, and Charles Smith officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Jerusalem, Arkansas by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, at Perryville First Baptist Church prior to the funeral service. Memorials may be made to the Stand For Trey account at any U.S. Bank.
