Norma "Billie" Conrad Garcia, age 92, entered into heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 12, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Sylvester "Syl" R. Garcia for 68 years. Daughter of the late Charles and Martha Conrad. She was the loving mother of Adrienne M. Garcia and Norma Garcia Berniard. Grandmother to Mark Berniard, Wendy Berniard, Casey Berniard (Jennifer), Amy Dukes (Mark), Chad Chisholm (Catie) and Glenn Burleson (Jessica). Also survived by 7 great grandchildren. Sister of the late Martha "Mona" Heil, Camille Moore, Charles "Buddy" Conrad, John Conrad, Stanley Conrad and Vernon Conrad.
Along with her husband Syl they founded the Carousel Round Dance Club. They were avid dancers for over forty years, bringing much fun and enjoyment to their life. Billie was the most devoted wife and mother, and will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM.
