Norma Lee Lemons was born in rural Jackson County, MO., on September 3, 1929. Norma died peacefully on January 6, 2012 in NorthCare Hospice House. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Alice (Russell) and Harley G. Dalton; sister, Mary Louise and brother, Lawrence. Norma wed Robert E. (Bob) Lemons, Sr., on December 10, 1950 in Blue Springs, MO. They recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in Naples, Florida where they have resided the past eleven years. Norma loved children, enjoyed beautiful music and collected vintage dolls. She is survived by her husband, Bob; four children and their spouses, Shelley and Landis Lynch, LuAnne and Brad Wortham, Bob Jr. and Linda Lemons, and Sarah and Tom Reynolds; grandchildren, James and Tiffany Lynch, Betsy and Jacob Horowitz, Jason Lacy, Kit Lacy, Andy Lemons, Blake Lemons, Mary Beth Wortham, Steele, Jacob and Luke Reynolds, Melissa Wortham, Amy and Brandon Dale, Tracy and Jason Grey; great grandchildren, Morgan, Phoebe, Grace, Parker, Chase, Carlie, Brady and Tyler; one sister, Barbara Ann McFadden and one special niece, Shauna M. Young.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 9, 2012 from 6-8 pm at D.W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, January 10 at the chapel with a private burial for the family. Memorial contributions may be made to The Dream Factory or a charity of your choice.
