Norris Clifton Hunemorder, 95, of Cadillac passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Cadillac. He was born November 29, 1916 in Midland, Michigan to Frank and Gladys (Crosby) Hunemorder. He graduated from Midland High School in 1934. Norris was married to Clara Gertrude Campbell on January 19, 1941, in Hemlock, Michigan. Norris worked at Dow Chemical Company for over 30 years. Norris enjoyed boating, woodworking, traveling, playing cards, horse shoes, fishing and playing the clarinet. He played the clarinet under the direction of John Phillips Sousa and played in several bands in the area. He was a member of Cadillac United Methodist Church and the Midland United Methodist Church. Norris really loved his church family. He wintered in Bradenton, Florida for over 30 years. He enjoyed growing oranges, grape fruit and lemons. Norris is survived by his daughter, Janice K. (David) Hobbs of Sterling, VA; son, Ronnie L. (Avi) Hunemorder of Salem, SC; a very special friend, Rachel Stewart of Lake City; grandchildren, Kimberly (Derek) Hardman, Scott (Erin) Hobbs, Rebecca Hunemorder; great-grandchildren, Megan Hardman, Jacob Hardman, Kayden Hobbs, Avery Hobbs and many nieces and nephews. Norris was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brother, Elwood Hunemorder. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Cadillac United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Thomas Ball and Parish Assistant Judy Coffey. Internment will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Midland Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Cadillac United Methodist church on Friday. Memorials may be made to Cadillac United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
