Nova L. Bridges Jones, age 80, of Atkins, died Monday, May 19, 2003, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born August 1, 1922, at Tilly, Arkansas to the late Nobie Celce and Annie Bell Martindale Bridges. She attended the Assemblies of God, the Senior Activity Center of Pope County in Russellville, and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Mervin Jones and a son Loy Tillery.
Survivors include 4 daughters, Joyce Tillery of Hope, Marsha Angleton of Little Rock, Margaret Jones of Vallejo, California, and Marilyn Brown of New Boston, Texas; 2 brothers, Peter Bridges of Collinsville, Oklahoma and E. G. Bridges of Morrilton; a sister, Ressie Bridges of Russellville; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2003, at Zion Hill Cemetery in northern Pope County, by Brother John James. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
