O. Earlene Osborn, age 75, French Lick, Indiana, passed away at 2:10 PM, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital of Orange County.
Earlene was born on November 7, 1934 in Crawford County, Indiana to the late Howard and Mildred (Bufford) Cook. She married William “Bill” Osborn on August 29, 1952 and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2005.
She was a 1952 graduate of French Lick High School and had previously been employed at TravLers, Kimball, and she and her husband owned and operated Osborn Tire and Service Center in Prospect. She was a member of the Paoli Wesleyan Church and had previously been active with a local Home Makers Club and the French Lick Revolving Loan Committee.
She is survived by her son, William Don Osborn of Vero Beach, Florida, a daughter, Karla Rene’ Weeks and her husband Philip of Paoli, and three grandchildren, Rebekah Grace Osborn of Vero Beach, Florida, Chloe Danae and Nathan Charles Weeks of Paoli. She is also survived by three sisters, Bertha Evadene of Brownsburg, Indiana, and Winonah Abell and Joyce Deel both of Huntingburg, Indiana and her very special friend, Rachel Brown of French Lick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter-in-law, Julie Osborn and one sister, Amy Tarscilla.
Funeral Arrangements are being handled by T.L. Pinnick Mortuary, 785 South Bears Bend Road, French Lick where the family will receive friends, Friday, February, 26, 2010 from 4 PM until 8 PM and again Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 9 AM until 10 AM. Funeral services will be held at T.L. Pinnick Mortuary, Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Dan Smetzer and Rev. John Moffatt officiating. The graveside committal will be held Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 2:30 PM at Patoka Memorial Cemetery, French Lick, Indiana.
Family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to the family to use as they choose.
