Odell Taylor passed away December 7, 2008 at Adams Place Healthcare Center.
He was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County and a member of the North Boulevard Church of Christ. He retired from Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department.

Odell was preceded in death by his parents, Freeeland and Lula Anne Hutchins Taylor, brothers, Preston and Alvin Taylor as well as sisters, Mae Sanders, Violet Graham and Hassie Pittard. He is survived by his wife, Betty Taylor of Murfreesboro, son, Terry (Lisa) Taylor of Murfreesboro, grandson, Corey Taylor and special nephew, James Taylor.

Services for Odell will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Teb Batey officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with James Taylor, Terry Hodge, Jimmy Stacey, Billy Taylor, Garry Taylor, Shane Hobbs, Ronnie Rankins and Clyde Hall serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Stones River Manor or the Hope Clinic.

Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 8, 2008 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home; 820 South Church St. 615-893-2422
