Ogden Luke Guillory, Sr. passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009, at the age of 89. Husband of Mary Ann Johnson Guillory and the late Lea Marie Troxclair Guillory. Father of Gertrude (Trudy) Guillory Lynch (Gerry), Antoinette Guillory Bernstein (Gilbert), Ogden (Don) Guillory, Jr. (Kathy), Dennis Guillory (Janet), Sharon Guillory Fiorenza (Jim) Karon Guillory Hale (Tommy), Daryl Guillory and Yvette Guillory Maguire (Eddie). Son of the late Joseph Guillory and Gertrude Jeansonne Guillory. Brother of the late Ila St. Romain, Ola Mayo, Burt, Milford, Everett, Fred, U. J. and James B. Guillory. Step father of Louis V. Massie, Jr., Patricia M. Johnson and David I. Johnson, Jr. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Mr. Guillory was a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy, founder and president of Guillory Sheet Metal Works, Inc. and a charter member of Knights of Columbus St. Rita Council 3854 and past Grand Knight. Also a member of Holy Name Society, VFW and American Legion.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Friday, November 6, 2009, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park. Friends may visit between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM on Thursday and after 9:00 AM on Friday.
