Ola Veach passed away on February 17, 2011, she was born on July 8, 1916 in Nemaha, Nebraska to Walter McCully and Lockie (Roberts) McCully. She married Wilbur Veach on October 20, 1935 in Springfield, Missouri, they moved East and settled in LaPorte. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1978. Ola was a cook at the Door Village School for twenty- two years, retiring in 1982. She attended the Door Village United Methodist Church. Ola is survived by her daughter, Katherine J. Veach-Hartsock; seven grandchildren, Kenneth, Brian, Dawn, Linda, Douglas, Christine, and William; six great-grandchildren, Christen, Nicholas, Katrina, Brad, Carl and William; three great-great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Danica, and Chance. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Carl Veach, and one daughter, Carol R.Veach-VanDusen. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home 602 Maple Avenue LaPorte where the family will receive friends, Sunday, February 20, 2011 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Monday, February 21, 2011 from 11:00 am until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home Monday, February 21, 2011at 1:00 pm with Rev. Billy Nickrand, officiating. Burial will follow in the Door Village Cemetery.
