FORT WORTH -- Olan Eugene Watkins, 80, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2012.

Olan led a very active life. He was a 1956 graduate of the University of Arkansas. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Olan retired from General Dynamics as an engineer. He was a 50-year Master Mason, and spent 50 years as a Boy Scout leader. Olan performed over 4,000 hours of volunteer work at Harris Hospital. He was an active member of Citizens on Patrol and Code Blue. Olan was recently preceded in death by his wife of 47 years on Dec. 29, 2011, Lynda Lee Watkins; and son, Brian Watkins, who died Jan. 11, 2012.
Survivors: Daughter, Margaret Kay Watkins; and brother-in-law, John Linebarger.
