Ora Miles Ramer, age 86 of Little Rock, Arkansas died Friday, January 06, 2012. He was born in Barada, Nebraska on March 2, 1925 to his late parents William Sullivan and Elva Bowman Ramer. Ora worked for Safeway Grocery stores as a Produce Receiver from September 4, 1952 until February 1, 1987, was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in WWII while stationed in Germany and was a member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church. In addition, he enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a devoted husband, loving dad, granddad and pepaw. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Lola F. Ramer of Little Rock, AR; two children, Gary Ramer (Polly) of Little Rock, AR and Mary Spann of East End, AR; five grandchildren, Doug Ramer (Shannon), Amy Ramer, Amanda Mann (Michael), Joshua Spann (Aly) and Matthew Spann; three great-grandchildren, Landon, Ashleigh and Conner and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard and Everett Ramer.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, AR (501) 455-1067 with Reverend Dave Huey officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. A visitation will be on Monday, January 9, 2012 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
