Mattie Oreca Tedford, 93, of Bethlehem Community, was born March 12, 1919, in Lonoke County to J. Boone and Mattie Bryles Baldwin, and she died Wednesday, March 14, 2012. She had a passion for birds and flowers, as anyone who knows her would confirm. She was particularly fond of the 23rd Psalm.
Oreca was preceded in death by her husband, Doyne Tedford, three sisters, and two brothers. She is survived by two sons, Billy and wife Trudean of Austin, Bob and wife Melissa of Jonesboro; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Bethlehem Methodist Church, with burial in Salem Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, AR 72116.
