Orville D. Lockwood, 90, of Creola, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon. He was born September 13, 1919, in Keyford, West Virginia, son of the late Ted J. and Belle Seitz Lockwood. Orville was married to the late Emma I. Moore Lockwood. He was an Army veteran and a retired coal miner. Orville is survived by a son, Mark (Linda) Hammond of Chillicothe; a stepson, Steve (Debbie) Caldwell of Jacksonville, Florida; stepdaughters, Ellonda (John) Sperry of Kent, Ohio and Tina (Bob) Relay of Columbus; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a half brother, Dean Wilson of Florida. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister. Orvilles wishes were to be cremated. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
