Oscar Galloway
Pickens – Oscar Galloway, 80, of Pickens, passed from this life Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.
Mr. Galloway was born in Jackson County, NC a son of the late Fred and Ruth Owens Galloway. He was a retired logger and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Burrell Galloway of the home, sons Roger Galloway of Pickens and Freddie Galloway (Tonya) of Easley, and daughter Lavada Galloway of Lyman, SC, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Clyde Galloway and Claude Galloway both of Pickens and Jim Galloway of Tuckasegee, NC and sisters Erma Lee Owens and Linda Chapman both of Pickens.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM, Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens. Burial will be at 2 PM Wednesday at Wolfe Mountain Cemetery in North Carolina.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at Dillard Funeral Home.
