Ossie Lee Ferree Ossie Lee Ferree, age 82, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013. Born in Nickelsville, VA, on November 24, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Hobart and Mary Lee Culbertson Vicars. Mrs. Ferree had been a hostess/cashier in the hotel industry. She loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed cooking, fishing and gardening. Survivors include her children, Douglas W. Nickels and wife, Alina, Rising Sun, MD, Brenda Sue Sager and husband, Bill, York, PA, Carolyn Logan and husband, Matthew, Owenton, KY, Lois Bender and fiancé, Randy Schaeffer, Mount Wolfe, PA, Donna Marie Ingram and husband, Steve, Thomasville, PA, Edward Ferree, Jr. and wife, Wendy, Memphis, TN, and Debra Ferree, Florida; siblings, Oshia Taylor, Corbin, KY, Cecil Vicars, Campbellsville, KY, and Ancil Vicars, Loveland, OH; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ferree was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ferree; granddaughter, Crystal Lee; and brothers, Rufus and Kemper. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, February 1, 2013, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment in Rose Bank Cemetery, Calvert, MD, will follow the service.
