P. Richard Crandall, 63, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Embracing Hospice in Cumming, GA. Born in Peru, IN, he graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1966. He received his bachelors degree from Purdue University at Fort Wayne and a Masters of Business Administration from Saint Francis College in Fort Wayne, IN. Richard worked for IPFW, Lincoln Life and Central Soya in Fort Wayne, IN before moving to the southeast where he was employed by Boral Bricks as the Chief Information Officer in Augusta, GA. He later became partner at Tatum CIO Partners, LLP, working with Stacey's Greenhouses and Argen. Richard loved to play golf, travel, attend festivals, and spend time with family and friends. After retiring in 2007 from the IT industry, he volunteered at the Make-A-Wish Foundation and at Northside Hospital in Cumming, GA. Surviving are his wife, Catherine "Cathy" Crandall of Cumming, GA; daughters, Michelle (Craig) Gunckel of Winston-Salem, NC and Lisa (Robert) Galop of Suwanee, GA; 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter; sister, June Green of Marion, IN; and 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dolores Crandall. Funeral service is 10am, February 27, 2012 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804, with calling one hour prior. Visitation is 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the funeral home. Entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
