Mrs. Pamela (Johns) Davis, 75, formerly of Tick Ridge Rd., Waynesboro, PA, currently of 208 W. Main St., Apt 1, Waynesboro, died at 3:40 P.M., Sunday, November 27, 2011 in Quincy Village. Born October 23, 1936 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Harry H. Johns, Sr. and Helen Catherine (Eyler) Potts. Mrs. Davis attended Waynesboro schools. She was employed by Waynesboro Knitting Mill, and later as a cook for the former Wayne Hotel and Fort Ritchie and as a bar maid for the former Blue Door and Stardust bars. She retired from Hadley Farms where she worked as a conveyer belt operator. She attended Calvary Assembly of God Church, Waynesboro. Mrs. Davis is survived by three sons: Dean Davis and his wife Donna, Hagerstown, MD, Roy Davis, Waynesboro, Carroll Davis and his wife Robyn, Waynesboro; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three sisters: Jackie Mitchell, Hillsdale, Michigan, Lois Martin, Waynesboro, Linda Baker, Greencastle; her companion, Dean Fitz, Waynesboro; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harry H. Johns Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 1, 2011 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Rev. Dwan N. Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Quincy Village Benevolent Care Fund, 6596 Orphanage Rd., Waynesboro, PA 17268-7801.
