Army

Parker Herschel Chadick went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 25th, 2012, after a four year struggle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He was one of a kind. He loved his family and friends. He was born on February 5th, 1985, the son of Laurie Chadick Phillips Lyons and Jerry Phillips.
He attended Terrell Public School and graduated from Agape Boarding School in Missouri in 2003. He worked for his grandfather's business, Chadick's Limited, for several years before joining the U.S. Army in 2006 and was in the Combat Engineer 21B. He served two years of duty in Iraq, driving the vehicle to sweep for IED's. His vehicle was blown up 3 times. For his injury he received The Purple Heart Award and was given a medical discharge.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Laurie Lyons, in 2000. He is mourned by his brother Jeremy Lyons, grandparents Bette and Herschel Chadick, Aunts: Lynn Chadick Smith and Katie Chadick Neely, Uncle, Dan Smith and cousins Eric Roberts, Hunter, Hayden, and Hadley Neely, Will and Lane Smith, and nephew Payton Lyons as well as several extended family and friends who loved him and will miss him greatly.

A funeral service will be held Monday, October 29, 2012 at 1:00pm at First Baptist Church of Terrell officiated by Brother Boyd Householder. Interment will be at the family cemetery in Winnsboro at the farm he loves so much. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Sunday, October 28, at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home.

Memorials in honor of Parker's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org to benefit those who have served.
