Patricia (Patty) Ann Adomiak, age 56, of Old Forge, passed away Thursday morning at home in Old Forge. Her husband of 34 years, her rock of love, and her perpetual companion, Robert Adomiak, survives. Born in Taylor on February 5, 1955, daughter of the late William G. and Claire Artanita Serino, Patty was a 1974 graduate of Old Forge High School. Upon earning her Degree in Cosmetology from Empire Beauty School, she worked as a self-employed beautician. Having worked more recently as office manager for Bruno's Market for eight years, she was very fond of her time spent there. Of Roman Catholic faith, she was a member of Prince of Peace Parish in Old Forge. Skilled at crafting, her favorite pastime was watching her soap operas. She selflessly and unabashedly adored and loved her family and friends. She was especially proud of her son, Brant, and all of his academic achievements. She loved unconditionally, laughed often and had a knack for making those around her feel comfortable in her presence. Despite suffering from illness in the recent years, she still made an effort and found the time to pour from her loving cup to all who had come in contact with her. She will be dearly missed. She is also survived by her only child, her son, Brant Adomiak, at home; her sister, Donna Michaylo, and husband Andrew of Old Forge; nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Her family wishes to thank Dr. Ferdinand J. Manahan, M.D., and the staff of DaVita Dialysis for their kindness, extraordinary care, and support in their time of need. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday at 10:00AM in St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 620 South Main Street in Old Forge, to be celebrated by Rev. Andrew R. Gallia, dear family friend. Private interment will be held at Marcy Cemetery in Duryea. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Saturday between 9-10:00AM at the church. Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
