Patricia Ann Martin Buckner passed away Saturday, December 6, 2008. She was born in Indianapolis on July 2, 1939 to Omer Meredith and Iva Mae (Crist) Martin. Patricia was joined in marriage to Glen Ray Buckner on November 27, 1958. He survives. They had two daughters, Laura Lynn (Charlie) Groenert and Leigh Ann (Michael) Turley. She was further blessed with four grandchildren, Matt Groenert, Ian Groenert, Adam Turley and Caitlyn Turley. She is also survived by her mother, Iva Martin and brother, Bill (Shirley) Martin. Patricia was a faithful Seventh Day Adventist who attended Southside Seventh Day grade school. She attended and graduated from Indiana Academy in Cicero, Indiana in 1956. Patricia was a charter member of Irvington Seventh Day Adventist Church since its inception in 1960. She taught the Kindergarten and Cradle Roll Sabbath School Classes. Patricia most recently worked for the past nine years as a receptionist at Raymond James & Associates in Greenwood. Prior to that she worked 28 years at G.V. Aikman Company. Patricia also worked at Hoosier Casualty and Farm Bureau in the late 1950's and early 1960's. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at Irvington Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2101 South Franklin Rd., with calling there from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Friends may call from 4-8:00 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2008, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Stirling-Gerber Chapel.
