her dream of becoming an RN when she graduated from Mercy Nursing School in

John married November 1946 and started their family, six children in all. John
moved his young family to La Jolla to complete his career in the Areospace
profession. Paddy became very in volved in her church Mary Star of the Sea
Catholic Church. Through Paddy's involvement in the church Paddy made countless
very devoted lifelong friends. Over fifty plus years Paddy gave endlessly of
herself wherever and whenever needed. Paddy also followed in her fathers
footsteps by becoming involved in the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Paddy
resumed her nursing career at the age of forty-fove
and continued nursing for twenty-six years at La Jolla Convalescent Hospital and
Chateau La Jolla. During those years Paddy became great friends with many in
the medical field. Paddy always kept current with all, by placing phone calls
making sure that all was well, and if things were'nt right she would set in
motion whatever was necessary to help out.
Paddy was the most loving and dedicated mother to her six children
Chris,Philip,Maggie,Thomas,Steve, and Mary. Although Paddy never drove she made
sure that the children were involved in all activities, boy scouts, girl scouts,
baseball, football and so much more. Paddy was a driving force in helping her
children achieve the goals they set for themselves, graduating from college, becoming
general contractor, lawyer owning their own businesses, running businesses in their chosen
profession. All of their achievements are directly
attributed to Paddy's continued support and direction. Speaking of direction,
Paddy was the "Supreme Director" in all areas of her life. (ha,ha) Paddy was the
center of her very large, close family, celebrating births, graduations,
marriages, birthdays, holidays, always at her home in La Jolla.
Paddy had sixteen grandchildren Heather,Christopher,Jennifer Bray,Cara Rose
Endicott, Ian Brennan, Sean and Summer Hendricks, Matt and Colin Hendricks,
Natalie,Hank,Nick Hendricks,Christina,Megan,Kimberly Alexander, Heidi Willett,
all local. Paddy shared many great moments, from their births to their
elementary, high school, college graduations, soccer, football, baseball games,
gymnastics meets, and their marriages. Paddy always wanted one of her
grandchildren to follow in her footsteps as an RN, that dream was realized by
Heather and Natalie.
Paddy was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren, Alyssa Taylor,Haven
Hendricks, Kai Tworoger, Dillon and Ryan Popkins, Jack Patrick Endicott, Sophie
Bray, Paige Willett, and Bryce Griffitts. Paddy rejoiced in every child born
into this family, and cherished every moment she had with them. Paddy also had
two very special people in her life, Martha and Yolinda, who took wonderful care
of her and loved her dearly.
A kiss Hello and a kiss Goodbye was standard procedure when visiting Paddy. We
will miss that physical contact, but we will never be without her. Our hearts
ache with our loss, but they are also full of the LOVE that Paddy gave to us.
Be at PEACE, join your love ones that have preceded you in death, GOD BLESS you,
we love you and will always miss you.
Your loving and devoted Family
