Mrs. Patricia Marie (Grosz) Korzendorfer, 64, of 11 Marshall Ave., Adams, died on early Thursday morning, February 3, 2011 at her home.
She was born in Adams on March 16, 1946, daughter of the late John and Winifred (Lennon) Grosz. She attended Adams schools and graduated from the former Adams High School with the class of 1964. She then went on to earn her Bachelors in Mathematics from Regis College, Weston, MA in 1968.
Mrs. Korzendorfer worked for several years as a mathematics teacher for the Adams Cheshire Regional School District until retiring after the 2002 - 2003 school year.
She was a communicant of the Parish of Pope John Paul the Great, Adams. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and loved listening to and watching Neil Diamond.
Her husband, Joseph J. Korzendorfer whom she married on August 3, 1968, died on August 10, 1995.
She is survived by;
1 Son - John J. Korzendorfer of Glastonbury, CT;
1 Daughter - Kate S. Korzendorfer of Brookline, MA;
1 Granddaughter - Emily Korzendorfer of Glastonbury, CT, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be on Wednesday, February 9, at 9:00AM from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in the Parish Church of Pope John Paul the Great, Adams.
Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute through the funeral home.
