Patricia Pittman Simpson, 56, of Goodlettsville, died Thursday June 7, 2012 at Alive Hospice Skyline Madison Campus. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday June 10th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Cowan officiating. Interment will follow in Robertson County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Simpson was born December 21, 1955 in Clarksdale, MS. She graduated from Lee Academy in 1973 and from Delta State University in 1977. She was an elementary school teacher for the past thirty-five years, and was currently employed with the Metro Nashville school system. She was known for not only educating her students, but also providing them comfort and love, no matter of their circumstances. She loved gardening and was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her father: John Timothy Pittman and by her husband: William Michael "Mike" Simpson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Will and Allison Simpson of Madison, MS, daughter and son-in-law: Lori and Josh Beasley of Hoover, AL, mother: Louise Horton Pittman of Springfield, brother and sister-in-law: Charles and Kathy Pittman of Sharps Chapel, TN, grandchildren: William Simpson, Anabelle and Jack Beasley, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her Simpson family that was a part of her life for many years.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice and sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home
