Patricia “Suzy” Wilburn
July 5, 1956 – March 24, 2011
Patricia Sue “Suzy” Hackney Wilburn, 54, of New Market passed away peacefully on Thursday evening. She was surrounded by her loving family at Crestwood Hospital. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister and friend.
Suzy was born in Indianapolis, Indiana but was raised in Northeast Madison County. She graduated from Buckhorn High School and attended UNA. She was a lifetime member of the Moore’s Mill Volunteer Fire Department and a certified Firefighter 1/paramedic. She was a lifelong cheerleading coach. Suzy was co-owner of Humboldt Machine Shop. She was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church.
Suzy was preceded in death by her son Jacob Austin Wilburn. She is survived by her loving husband Ronnie Wilburn; parents, Donald and Nina Hackney; sisters, Sandy Mangrum and husband Larry; Pepper Beaver and husband Steve; Denise Rice and husband Jason; sisters-in-law, Christy Crenshaw and husband David; Jackie Williams and husband Tracy. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 5 to 8pm Sunday at Valhalla Funeral Home and graveside service on Monday at 11am at Valhalla Memory Gardens with Elder Harold Gill officiating.
