Mr. Paul Atkinson Nix, age 79, of McDonough, GA passed away October 17, 2011. Mr. Nix was born in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Lewis Pratt Nix and Nell Williams Nix. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Allan Nix and a sister, Margaret Nix. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends; and retired from Holbrook water proofing. He enjoyed restoring antiques cars and attending car shows and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Emily Bullard Nix of McDonough; children, Paula Nix and her husband, Bobby Gosnell of McDonough and Michelle and her husband, Ned Humphreys of Marietta; brothers, Lewis, Henry, Hugh and W. K. Nix and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Mr. Nix will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011 – 2:00 PM at Bullard Cemetery in Powder Springs. For those who wish in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sacred Journey Hospice, 138 Peach Drive, McDonough, GA 30253 or the charity of your choice.
