Paul Leo Thibodeaux on Saturday, January 14, 2012, went home to be with God and his beloved mother Lynne. Paul was a survivor. At the age of 15 Paul had a brain tumor removed. He was not expected to survive the surgery but through the excellent care from Dr. Carlos Pisarello, he was able to live a full life. Paul was the most gentle, humble, sweet person to walk this earth. He was a proud member of Bonnabel High School, Class of 1980. After a career at Don Carter's and Wal-Mart in Slidell, he retired to Metairie.
He is survived by his brother Ronnie Thibodeaux (Jeannine); sister DeeDee Hebert (Tommy) ; Nannie "Dianne Musso"; father Eugene Thibodeaux; nephews Tommy and Michael Thibodeaux and Brett Hebert.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother Lynne Taquino and step-father Donald Taquino.
We would like to give a special thanks to JoAnn Knower, Allison Forester, Ochsner Hospitals, Ochsner Extended Care, Riverbend Nursing Home and Chateau de Notre Dame for taking such wonderful care of Paul these last few months.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass in the Chapel of LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. at 12 Noon on Friday, January 20, 2012. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at St. Louis No. 3.
