Paul V. McGinn, (87) and his beloved wife of 59 years, Theresa Y. (Paradis) McGinn (81), passed away accidently Tuesday, October 22, 2013 in Ft. Myers, FL. Paul was born in Providence, a son of the late John J. and Pauline (Feeney) McGinn. He was a WWII Army Veteran and worked as letter carrier for the US Postal Service for over 25 years before retiring in 1989 as a supervisor. Paul loved to play golf and was a former member of Melody Hill Golf Club. He was a board member of the Bermuda Club in Ft. Myers, FL; a master gardener and was the family handiman who could fix anything. Theresa was born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Leo and Anita (Laperche) Paradis. She was a stay at home mom and after her family was grown, she worked as a school bus monitor for over 15 years for the Smithfield School Dept. She was a member of the St. Philip Church Women's Guild, enjoyed bingo, playing cards, going to the beach and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Paul and Theresa lived in Greenville for over 50 years and enjoyed travelling all over together. They were the loving parents of Cheryl Garbecki, Paula Allen, Pamela McGinn, James McGinn and the late Stephen McGinn. They were the grandparents of Melissa, William, Paul, Stephanie, Michael, James, Shauna, Demi and the late Jennifer. Great-grandparents of Dylan, Addy, Trey, Taylor, Teagan, Faith, Cody, Brayden, Hannah and Maddy. Paul was the brother of Mary Lou Iadicola and the late Ruth Rylander, Esther Koirth, Jack and Byron McGinn. Theresa was the sister of Jeanne Rondeau and the late Ernest Paradis. They will also be missed by their friends and extended family at the Bermuda Club in Ft. Myers, Florida. Their funeral will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 8:30am from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt.44) Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Ave. at 9:30am. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visitation Tuesday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241 will be appreciated.
