Paul Wesley Meadows, passed away on Saturday August 24, 2013, very suddenly. He was 88 years old. He was born in Huntington, WV, the oldest of five boys (Charles, Pete Jr, Richard and Marian). He graduated from Huntington East High School and briefly attended Marshall University in an Engineering curriculum. He was drafted into the United States Army during WWII where he was assigned to the 290th Engineer Combat Battalion. He served in Austria in the Army of Occupation. When he returned, he attended and graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed by the Ohio Power Company (later AEP) and retired after 41 years of service. Paul enjoyed golf, reading and gardening among other activities and attended St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret. He was a loving husband and father who is survived by his wife, Dr. Rachel Nunley Meadows; daughter, Ellen Palomba of North Canton; son David Paul Meadows of Canton; grandchildren, Angelo Palomba, Mario Palomba, Payton Meadows, Sydney Meadows and Keegan Meadows; and great granddaughter, Avia Meadows. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8pm in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW. and from 10-11am on Wednesday in St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church, (Corner of Fulton Dr. and Dressler Rd. NW.) Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11am in St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Bruce R. Roth officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church Building Fund.
