Mrs. Paula King Geiser Schechter, 70, of Chambersburg, PA, died at the Chambersburg Hospital on Tuesday, December 13 2011, surrounded by her family. Born November 30, 1941 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Paul Seacrest and Charlotte (King) Geiser. She was the great-granddaughter of Peter Geiser. Mrs. Schechter graduated from Waynesboro Senior High School. She received her bachelor of science degree in education at Millersville State Teacher's College and her masters in library science from Shippensburg University. Mrs. Schechter retired from Coyle Free Library in Chambersburg, where she worked as a reference librarian. She was a former administrator of The Lutheran Home in Johnstown, PA. She enjoyed gardening, reading, bird watching, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very generous person, contributing to several charitable causes. She is survived by two daughters: Amy S. Warner (wife of David) of Landisville, PA and Beth A. Vizzini (wife of Bryan) of Canyon, TX; her grandchildren: Ben and Matt Warner and Logan Vizzini, and a sister: Jean Geiser Dienstag of Waynesboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Aaron P. Schechter, who passed away April 25, 2008. Family will greet friends and share remembrances at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in the Grove- Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad St. Waynesboro, PA. There will be no public viewing. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 417 Phoenix Drive Suite A. Chambersburg, PA 17201.
