Pauletta Stephenson Richmond was born on the second of September, 1954 in the city of Saint Louis, Missouri to the union of Selvin and Alleen Stephenson. Pauletta was the fourth of five children. She joined her parents at the gates of heaven Saturday, April 9, 2011. She is also preceded in death by her siblings Selvin Stephenson, Jr. and Vivian Stephenson. Pauletta professed hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Westside Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Victor Wells in Saint Louis, Missouri. She later became a devoted member of Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the choir under the leadership of Reverend Sherman Glover. Pauletta was educated in Saint Louis Public Schools. She later completed a course of study in medical training as a Medical Assistant at Bryan Institute. She served in the medical field for over 25 years in various roles. As a result of her illness, Pauletta's career ended early as a phlebotomist at Quest Diagnostics. Pauletta married Nathaniel Richmond and together they raised her three children Veronica, Martez, and Pauletta NaShay. Pauletta is most remembered for her kind, gentle, and giving spirit. She was an exceptional woman who took great pride in taking care of home and family. She was affectionately known as a second mother to many, including her nieces and nephews. Pauletta was also a devoted friend and confidant and established many relationships that lasted a lifetime. Left to cherish her fond memories: a husband; Nathaniel Richmond, three children; Veronica Colvin (Lamar), Martez Stephenson (Catina), Pauletta NaShay Brown (Darius), five grandchildren; Victoria, Blake, Meyah, Martez Jr. (MJ), and Dylan, two siblings; Carl Gene Stephenson (Barbara) and Beverly Henson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
