Pauline Barnes Riley was born on February 15, 1943 in Hartwell, Georgia to Alex and Navell Barnes who preceded her in death. She relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio, upon graduating high school and completing one year of college. She later relocated to New Jersey where she met and married her husband James Riley. She lived the remainder of her life in Linden, New Jersey. On December 5, 1965, Pauline began her career at the Social Security Administration in Newark, New Jersey. She worked there faithfully for 45 years. She was preceded by her brothers Haywood and William Barnes and sister Marilyn Oglesby. Pauline is survived by her husband James Riley; her daughters, Carolyn Sue Grimes of Hartwell, Georgia and Veronica Riley of Linden, New Jersey; son-in-law, Wayne Grimes; three grandchildren, Curtis Cobb, Amy and Lakesha Gaines; three great-grandchildren, all of Hartwell, Georgia; sister, Sarah Wilkins of Cincinnati, Ohio; two aunts, Ann Johnson and Morlene (James) Lomax, and uncle Joe Barnes. She also leaves fond memories to host of sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and all of you.
