Pauline Grant of Dover, NJ was a God fearing woman; devoted wife, loving mother and doting grandmother departed this world on Sept 14, 2010 at the age of 84. Pauline was born in York, South Carolina on Nov 8, 1925. She was the only child born to the late Inez Sadler. Pauline moved to Morristown, NJ, as a child and attended public schools there, graduating from Morristown High School. After high school, she married Fenwick B. Grant Sr. on January 11, 1946. From that union was born three children. While raising her children, she went to work at Morris View Nursing Home as a Senior Clerk and Nurse's Aide. She later retired after 30 years of service to Morris View. Pauline always put Christ first and was a long time member of Union Baptist Church and Tabernacle of Faith Family Church both of Morristown, NJ. She served on several ministries at both churches, including the Helps and Seniors ministries, Missionary and Usher Boards. Pauline Grant loved gardening and you could catch her outside planting and watering if she wasn't cleaning, cooking, providing and preparing for her family. Holiday dinners meant family time and a time to cherish one another. An avid sports fan you could find her rooting on Morristown High School players especially when her son or grandson were on the field. She loved attending sporting events of her children and grandchildren and college road trips to Hampton University and Spelman College. Pauline lives to cherish her memory, her loving husband Fenwick B. Grant Sr., son Fenwick B. Grant Jr. (Evelyn) of Montclair, daughters Paulette Grant Jackson of Brooklyn, NY; and Doreen Grant Kemp of Dover, NJ and grandchildren Ronald Kemp II (LouElla), Erin Grant, Afiya Jackson, Ra' Shelle Kemp, and Justin Grant, along with a host of family and friends. Pauline Grant was a woman who served God, and loved her family. Our Wife, mother, and grandmother received her promotion and earned her wings, now our Earthly Angel is in paradise watching over us. This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of Pauline Grant. You are invited to add a Tribute in her memory.
